We’re seeking a proven software developer leader who is excited about experimentation, strategy, client-view focus, and has a strong analytical mind to be able to problem solve for clients’ most complex projects and allowing Maple Spider to put forward a finished product for them. You will be part of the IT management team that problem-solves daily for any ad-hoc client issues as well as work on small to large scale software and mobile app projects that are in development or delivery stage.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance development of our existing customized software developed portfolio, and own significant parts of Maple Spider’s products that require design, architecture, and coding.
  • Participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology road map.
  • Be a role model and professional coach for future engineers and developers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship. Cultivate the winning culture.
  • Work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.
  • Manage projects to scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and deliver with speed and quality.
  • Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric web and mobile applications that operate 24x7.
  • Produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked regularly for continuous integration.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
  • Programming experience in Java, C/C++, C#, Python, and/or Ruby.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience with object oriented design, coding, testing patterns, and programming languages (Java, C++, C#, etc.).
  • Experience building scalable products on top of distributed systems.
  • Proven coding skills in Python or JavaScript/AJAX, database design and SQL, and/or knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming.

We’re seeking a talented graphic designer who is excited about experimentation, strategy, client-view focus, and strong analytical mind to be able to problem solve for client’s most complex projects and allowing Maple Spider to put forward a finished product out to them. You will be part of the product development and digital marketing team that innovates daily for any ad-hoc client projects as well as work on any on-going projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Helping with the design, dream, and creation of beautiful motion graphics in After Effects.
  • Ability to express the vision for a project as well as storyboard for others to see the vision.
  • Articulate creative strategy, present ideas and explain rationale.
  • Stay on top of creative, social, cultural and media trends to continue to be “fresh” and inspire new ideas
  • Occasionally meet with clients, listen to their needs, and communicate creative solutions.
  • Take animation projects from start to finish with minimal support if necessary.

Qualification Desired:

  • BA/BS degree in Design or Communications or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional Motion Graphics Design experience.
  • Ability to work across a variety of design fields: motion graphics, illustration, and graphic design with an outstanding portfolio to prove it.
  • Strong design fundamentals and understanding of aesthetics, including color, layout, and typography.
  • Sound creative judgment and an ability to clearly articulate design approach.
  • Experience managing time and deadlines successfully.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to take direction and feedback and work collaboratively with a team.

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Expert in After Effects, proficient in Premiere, Photoshop, Corel Draw and Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Audition or other audio editing software.
  • Strong design portfolio.
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of design and production, complete all reviews in preset timeframe.
  • General understanding of video output formats and compression standards.
  • Detailed organization with maintaining and following best practices for version control, naming convention and organization of graphic files and archiving.

We’re seeking an expert IT Desktop support who is excited about experimentation, strategy, client-view focus, and strong analytical mind to be able to problem solve for client’s most complex projects and allowing Maple Spider to put forward a finished product out to them. You will be part of the IT Support and Services team that supports daily project assessment for any ad-hoc client requests as well as work on any on-going projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide total technical support for internal and remote clients.
  • Provide support for computer hardware, software, printers, phones, and peripheral equipment. This also includes audio visual, video conferencing and collaboration equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, network access, MS Office including Skype for Business, MS Windows 7, 8 and 10, VPN, Citrix, and SaaS based systems.
  • Follow-up on outstanding incidents and escalations to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide one-on-one instruction to users on new applications.
  • Research information for users on applications and peripherals as required.
  • Consistently meet monthly Service Level Agreement metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and on the phone.
  • Customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills. Be the IT ambassador.
  • Team player qualities: integrity, accountability, adaptability and motivated.
  • Must be self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Must have the ability to collaborate with all functional areas in the business.
  • Technical degree or diploma and/or equivalent business experience.
  • 3+ years of combined service desk and technical IT experience.
  • Strong support knowledge of PC hardware, Microsoft operating systems (7, 8 and 10), mobile devices, Active Directory and O365.
  • Industry certificates a plus. i.e. A+, Network+, Server+, MCP, HDI & ITIL
  • Cloud Support experience would be an asset.
